Hisun Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. was established in New Jersey in November 2009 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Zhejiang Hisun Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. We are responsible for the business development activities for Hisun. Currently we have an opening in our Business Development unit focusing on Contract Manufacturing activities.

Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager/Director – Contract Manufacturing is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities within the contract manufacturing of APIs and FDFs. This role focuses on building long-term partnerships with clients seeking outsourced production services, driving revenue growth, and strengthening the organization’s presence in North and South American markets.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in B2B sales, understands manufacturing operations and supply chain processes, and possesses the negotiation skills to close complex, high-value contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Growth & Sales
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for contract manufacturing services of API, intermediates, and FDFs in pharmaceutical industry.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profit targets.
- Manage the full sales cycle — from lead generation to proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to refine business strategies.
- Client Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring prompt communication and high satisfaction levels.
- Collaborate with clients to understand product requirements, specifications, and timelines.
- Provide technical and commercial input in client discussions along with internal technical and manufacturing teams.
- Collaboration & Project Coordination
- Work closely with R&D, Production, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and manufacturing capabilities.
- Coordinate internal resources for seamless project onboarding and delivery.
- Track project milestones and ensure timely execution of deliverables.
- Market Development & Strategy
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new manufacturing opportunities.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking sessions to increase brand visibility.
- Prepare sales forecasts, business reports, and pipeline updates for senior management.
- Commercial & Contract Management
- Lead the preparation of proposals, quotations, and business agreements in collaboration with legal and finance teams.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing structures, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience in business development or sales within the contract manufacturing, OEM, or outsourcing services environment.
- Experience of working within major international pharma companies for at least 5 years
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations — formulation, production planning, quality standards, and supply chain management.
- Proven ability to achieve revenue targets and manage complex client accounts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English.
- Experience with international client relations and export processes is an advantage.
